Some of the people we work with live a few streets away. Others are on the other side of the world. Online counselling means that where you live is never the thing that stops you getting support.
A session over video feels more natural than most people expect. After a few minutes it is simply a real, honest conversation, the same as sitting in a room together, except you can do it from your own sofa, in your own time, wherever you feel comfortable.
We keep things simple and use whatever you are already comfortable with. There is nothing complicated to set up.
We send you a simple link. You click it at your appointment time and we are face to face. There is no account to make and nothing to wrestle with.
If you have an iPhone, iPad or Mac, we can meet on FaceTime. It is already built into your device, so there is nothing to download.
Plenty of people prefer WhatsApp. We can do a video or voice call on the app you already use every day, wherever you are in the world.
Not keen on being on camera? That is completely fine. For many people a good old fashioned phone call works just as well.
Send a text or a WhatsApp message whenever something is on your mind. You do not have to wait for your next session to reach out.
Wherever you are and whatever the time difference, we will find a time that works around your life, not the other way around.

Life does not only happen during your session. If something comes up, a hard day, a worry that will not settle, or a small win you want to share, you are welcome to send us a text or a WhatsApp message.
We are not a crisis service, so we cannot reply instantly through the night, but we will always come back to you. Knowing you can reach a real person who already knows your story can make a real difference.
There is very little to sort out. If you can make a normal phone or video call, you can have a session with us.
Whichever device you already use is perfectly fine.
Somewhere you feel comfortable and will not be interrupted.
Home broadband, mobile data or a simple phone line all work well.
We send you a link, or use WhatsApp or FaceTime that you already have.
We will check it all works and that it feels right before anything else.
Sessions from home often feel more relaxed and open than people expect.

It is natural to wonder whether talking to someone through a screen can really help. The honest answer, backed by a great deal of research, is yes. For many people it works just as well as meeting in person.
Being in your own space often helps. People tell us they feel safer, more relaxed and more able to be honest from their own home, with a cup of tea in hand and no journey at either end of the session.
Every one of these is available to you, in person where practical and online from anywhere.

If something is on your mind before getting in touch, here are the things people most often ask us.
Yes. A great deal of research shows that online and phone counselling can be just as effective as meeting in person. Many people find that being in their own space helps them open up more easily.
Whatever suits you. We can meet on Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, FaceTime or WhatsApp. We are happy to use whichever you are most comfortable with, and we will help you get set up.
That is no problem at all. We keep it simple. For most calls we just send you a link to click at your appointment time. If you would rather use WhatsApp or FaceTime that you already know, that is fine too.
Usually not. For a video call, a link in your web browser is often all it takes. If you prefer WhatsApp or FaceTime, you already have everything you need.
